The eleventh Metropolitan Bishop of White Well was His Holiness Timon (Timofey Gavrila), born on 28^th August, 1918 at Ghindaresti (Constantza county, Romania). He began his career as conductor of the church choir, deacon, then he became priest, bishop in his native village and in 1985, he was ordained Metropolitan Bishop on 14^th July in Braila. In April 1991, he visited The Metropolitan Churches of Moscow and of Russia. The last years of his life found him seriously ill. He died on 21^st August 1996. His tomb is in the parish churchyard in Ghidaresti, where he had been a priest for many years.
