The fifth Metropolitan Bishop (Nikifor Feodotov – by his earthly name) began as deacon in Jurilovka ( a village near Tulcea), then a priest in Sarikioy ( another village near Tulcea), after which , on 13^th October 1919, he was anointed Bishop of Tulcea, by the Metropolitan Bishop Makary. After the death of bishop Leonty of Slava, he occupied the chair of Bishop of Slava. As Metropolitan Bishop, he was anointed on 1^st October 1924, chair which he has had  for 2 years.
