His Holiness Metropolitan Bishop Cyril (1785 - 1873)

His holiness Cyril (Kiprian Timofeiov) – the second Old Rite Metropolitan Bishop of the White Well, was born in 1785. He was anointed as Bishop of Mainos in 1847 by Bishop Ambrosy, just before the latter’s retiring into the exile, and eventually, Bishop Cyril was decided to occupy the Metropolitan seat, as it came clear from a recorded paper, with Ambrosy’s agreement.
He lived for 88 years, out of which he has been Metropolitan Bishop for 26 years . He died on 2nd December 1873 and was buried at the Monastery from the White Well.
